Torn Bread Chicken Casserole



A warm and comforting casserole made with torn bread, soft chicken, and melty cheeses that is baked until golden. For a cozy family dinner or a potluck, this dish is perfect.

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups torn bread like ciabatta or French loaf
  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 350F 175C

In a large bowl, mix torn bread, cooked chicken, cheddar cheese, and mozzarella cheese

In another bowl, whisk together milk, eggs, Parmesan cheese, melted butter, garlic powder, dried thyme, salt, and pepper

Pour the milk mixture over the bread and chicken mixture

Stir until well combined

Transfer the mixture into a greased casserole dish

Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the casserole is set

Let it cool for a few minutes before serving
