Ingredients:
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup bourbon
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons water
- Green onions, sliced for garnish
- Cooked rice for serving
Instructions:
Put chicken breasts in the crock pot
Put ketchup, garlic, ginger, red pepper flakes, soy sauce, brown sugar, and bourbon in a bowl
Cover the chicken with the sauce
Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours or high for 3 to 4 hours, until the chicken is soft and fully cooked
To make a slurry, mix cornstarch and water in a small bowl
During the last 30 minutes of cooking, stir the ingredients into the slow cooker mixture to make the sauce thicker
Put the cooked chicken on top of the rice and top with sliced green onions
